When required by the Director, the owner of any property served by a side sewer carrying industrial or other wastes as described in this chapter shall install a suitable control manhole in the building sewer to facilitate observation, sampling and measurement of wastes. Such manhole, when required, shall be accessibly and safely located, and shall be constructed in accordance with plans approved by the Director. The manhole shall be installed by the owner at his/her expense, and shall be maintained by the owner so as to be safe and accessible at all times. [Ord. 3702 § 2, 2004; Code 1970 § 13A.52.370.]
