The basis or initial number as provided in PMC 16.45.020 through 16.45.070, prefixed to the lot number as provided in PMC 16.45.080, shall constitute the number of the building on such lot. Such number shall be placed in some conspicuous place on the front of the building and shall be painted thereon, or on metal or glass, or metal figures used and fastened thereon, at the option of the owner. The figures constituting such numbers shall not be less than four inches in height on business houses and not less than two and one-half inches in height on residences.
