Based on the City’s wellhead protection areas identified pursuant to Chapter 246-290 WAC, surface water protection areas established for drinking water supplies on the Columbia River, and extensive high infiltration soils underlying a large portion of the City and UGA per National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) soil classifications for Franklin County, the entire City limits and UGA are designated as an aquifer recharge area.
