(1) No private detective agency or private security company shall do business in the City without first obtaining a license under the provisions of this chapter. No armed private detective, private detective, armed private security guard, or private security guard shall do business or engage in their occupation without first being licensed under the provisions of this chapter as a private detective agency or private security company, as appropriate, or being employed by a private detective agency or private security company licensed under the provisions of this chapter.
