For the purposes of this chapter “person” means and includes natural persons, co-partnerships, corporations and associations and shall include persons of both sexes. This chapter means and includes hotels, rooming houses, lodging houses and all other places where lodgings are furnished to transient customers, as distinguished from apartment or boarding houses with regular weekly or monthly charge reserved.
