A person is guilty of resisting arrest if he or she intentionally prevents or attempts to prevent a police officer of the City from lawfully arresting him or her. Resisting arrest is a misdemeanor. [Ord. 3490 § 3, 2001; Code 1970 § 9.42.010.]
