The following words and phrases when used in this title shall for the purpose of this title have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this chapter, unless where used the context thereof shall clearly indicate to the contrary.

“Central business district” means all streets and portions of streets within the area described as follows: All that area bounded by the Northern Pacific right-of-way on the east and south; by the alley between Bonneville and Clark on the north, and by Sixth Avenue on the west.

Loading Zones.

“Curb loading zone” means a space adjacent to a curb reserved for the exclusive use of vehicles during the loading or unloading of passengers or materials.

“Freight curb loading zone” means a space adjacent to a curb for the exclusive use of vehicles during the loading or unloading of freight.

“Passenger curb loading zone” means a place adjacent to a curb reserved for the exclusive use of vehicles during the loading or unloading of passengers.

“Right-of-way” means the privilege of the immediate use of the roadway. [Code 1970 §§ 10.08.010 – 10.08.030; Code 1954 §§8-6.04, 8-6.08, 8-6.24, 8-6.28.]
