All pollutant sampling and analyses required under this chapter shall conform to the most current version of 40 CFR Part 136, unless otherwise specified in an applicable categorical pretreatment standard. If 40 CFR Part 136 does not contain sampling or analytical techniques for a pollutant, or the Public Works Director determines that the Part 136 sampling and analytical techniques are inconsistent with the goal of the sampling, the Public Works Director may specify an analytical method. If neither case applies, users shall use validated analytical methods or applicable sampling and analytical procedures approved by EPA. [Ord. 4169 § 1, 2014; Code 1970 § 13.62.060(K).]
