(1) The Councilmember elected by the City Council to serve as Mayor of the City shall receive a salary of $1,450 per month, which amount shall include the salary paid as a City Councilmember.

(2) Each Councilmember shall receive a salary of $1,115 per month.

(3) The compensation levels set forth in this section shall be effective on and after January 1, 2018, as to the Mayor position and Councilmember positions elected in 2017. Such compensation levels shall be effective on and after January 1, 2020, as to Councilmember positions elected in 2019 or thereafter.
